How it's made
  • Layers of kraft paper impregnated with phenolic resin form the core.
  • A decorative paper layer is added on top.
  • A clear protective overlay with melamine resin seals the surface.
  • These layers are stacked and pressed together under very high heat and pressure.
  • The finished laminate sheet is then glued to a substrate such as particleboard.
